Our Wedding

Kat and David met in August of 2020 on Bottomless Beers Ball team in Saskatoon. At the time they were both in different relationships, but a friendship blossomed.As fate chooses our paths, both their relationships came to an end in late 2022, and their story began.In early 2024 they decided to expand their family, and in no time at all Theo John Marshall joined David, Kathleen, and Rowan in their Journey.In May of 2024, on Kathleen's birthday to be exact, Rowan came running into the living room holding a ring box and announcing that Daddy wanted to be her Daddy forever and also wanted to be Mommy's husband. The wedding was postponed until Theo was born and Mat leave was over, and here we are now. They are ready to take the next step in their journey with their friends and family by their side.

Here is a little bit more about the people Kathleen and David have chosen to stand by them on their big day. These are the people who will be at their 20-year wedding anniversary. Some have been around for eons and are likely the only reason both Kat and David made it this far. Some are new and amazing additions to their lives, that they know will continue to add light and joy for the rest of their time.

Met - Kindergarten 

Role - Brides Handler, provider of cold logic and big laughter.

Role - Bride's personal crisis line and baby deliverer/cord cutter.

Role -  Rapper and security. Protects Bride from her biggest nemesis (herself)

Meaghan Helary

Met - 2022
Role - Sister/Humbler, provider of ongoing life advice in the form of teasing laughs. Gives excellent AITA (am I the asshole?) tests.

Met - McClean Lake 2013
Role - Oxygen. Decision Maker. Everything? The bride cannot function without check-ins a minimum of every 48 hours. 

Ashley McCorriston-Brown

Met - Highschool
Role - Golf Instructor/Life Coach. Great with wood. 

Steve Young

Met - University
Role - Partner in Karaoke crime. Friend version of 911, he will always pickup and is always there. 

Steven Joanette

Met - August 26, 1994 (birth)
Role -  Bully/Life Coach. Humbler. Ensures ego never gets too big. Shows up; always, often without being called. 

Derek Holfeld

Met -  Elementary school/High School (age gap) 
Role -  Second big brother. Bad decision enforcer. Provider of underage liquor. 

Dave Walling 

Met - Elementary School 
Role - Wingman, teammate. Life advice and big laughs.

The Hooligans

Legally licensed to officially hand over Kathleen's bull shit to a new owner. Of all the certificates he's gotten (it is an impressive list) this one is his favourite.

The 3 Canadians, a local band that covers Rock, Country, and Folk music, will be joining our celebrations! Rocking out from 8pm to Midnight, with a stint of Karaoke in the middle, they will be on site ensuring that we have an absolute blast.
